I remember seeing McDonald’s Ran Ran Ru MAD video remixes based on Japanese McDonald’s commercials involving Ronald McDonald, also known in Japan as “Donald McDonald” (ドナルド・マクドナルド). Those videos reached peak popularity in 2007.
