The Update Aquatic (unofficially also referred to as the Ocean Aquatic Update, Ocean Update Aquatic or Aquatic Update)[2] is the name for an update that is planning to come to, or already has come to, almost all of the Minecraft editions.

This update will be coming to Java Edition in version 1.13. Phase One of the Update Aquatic was already released for the Bedrock Edition as version 1.4 on May 16, 2018, with the rest of the features to come later as version 1.5, slated for release sometime in July 2018, after the Fourth of July. Legacy Console Editions will be getting the update as well after all parts of the update have been released for Bedrock Edition, except on the Xbox One Edition and the Nintendo Switch Edition, which were both replaced by the Bedrock Engine. Nintendo Switch Edition players will get it as a patch and will also be able to install the new version of the game for free. This will be the last update for Legacy Console Editions, excluding PlayStation 4. Additionally, the Update Aquatic was released for the Education Edition in the 1.4.0 update on June 12, 2018.
